Stirling Castle was the spectacular venue for a celebrity filled St Andrews Day
Stirling Castle was the spectacular venue for a celebrity filled St Andrews Day Gala Dinner
hosted by Hells Kitchen chef Gordon Ramsey in aid of a worthy charity, Scottish Spina Bifida Association. Over 200 guests had the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Scotland’s Kings and Queens and experience the Castle’s breathtaking atmosphere. They were welcomed by pipers who led them over the red carpet and into the dramatically lit castle which was filled with flaming torches and braziers. The Chapel Royal was the venue for a champagne reception followed by a sumptuous 4 course meal served in the 16th century Great Hall accompanied by outstanding entertainment, including the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, falconry and an after dinner speech by comedian Ronnie Corbett. After the money can’t buy auction which raised in excess of £130k, the finale of the evening was a dramatic Beat Retreat outside in the heart of the Castle. Mr Ramsay said, ‘It was great to host my luxurious dinner in the magnificent Great Hall of Stirling Castle, one of the world’s most unique and exclusive venues.’
