Britannia Crowned Winner at the Condé Naste Awards
The Royal Yacht Britannia are celebrating their most recent award after being named the UK’s ‘Most Excellent Dedicated Venue 2009’ by Condé Nast Johansens. The award was presented at the Condé Nast Johansens Annual Awards for Excellence ceremony in London on the 12 November. Britannia was nominated for their outstanding standards of hospitality and service as a unique corporate events venue. Entrants are picked for the award by Condé Nast inspectors who meticulously looked at every aspect of an event on board. Since arriving in Edinburgh in 1998 The Royal Yacht has built up an enviable reputation for exceptional cuisine and exemplary service and an evening on board is truly memorable. The sense of occasion is unparalleled and standards are very similar to when the Yacht was in Royal Service, with every fine detail delivered with precision. Britannia’s in-house Event Managers will take care of an event every step of the way and ensure their client enjoys organising the evening as much as their guests will enjoy their fine dining experience on board. All the food is freshly prepared on board in the Royal Galley by the Executive Chef, Michael Soeder and his team, using only the finest ingredients. Britannia has welcomed clients such as IBM, Ford and Bosch Rexroth and continues to lead the way by putting the customer at the heart of the business. Head of Events Angela Stewart commented:
“We are delighted to have won this much sought after award, which confirms our reputation as one of the UK’s most prestigious corporate event venues and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our highly talented team for their never-ending enthusiasm and commitment.” Britannia’s Crowning Glory
