Annual General Meeting hosted by Sheraton & Spa in Edinburgh. The AGM was to discuss the past year, elect the Committee for Year 2011 and the vision and events for to Site Scotland Chapter in Year 2011. This was followed by networking over cheese & wine kindly hosted by the Sheraton. |

Site Scotland and VisitScotland are hosting a Drinks Reception on the VisitScotland Stand F350 at IMEX Frankfurt on Wednesday 25th May at 4.00pm. All Worldwide Site members who are attending IMEX on that day are being invited to come along and learn about Scotland and enjoy some real Scottish Hospitality and Music! |

Site Scotland and the National Museums of Scotland....
Be one of the first to view the newly opened National Museum of Scotland. Find out what Site can do for you and what you can do for Site. Members are encouraged to bring along potential new members to find out more about what Site can do for your business and the benefits that membership brings. The fantastic Victorian part of the National Museum of Scotland is now open and available for events from September 2011, following a £47m transformation project. The prestigious Grand Gallery will be available to accommodate up to 850 people for dinner in stunning surroundings. Along with 16 new galleries and a new entrance on street level, the changes will create a unique event space to rival all others. There will also be a 200 seat Auditorium with break out rooms available for a range of events both day and evening.
Join us for drinks and canapes on Monday 12th September from 6pm to 7.15pm. Enter at Tower Entrance: Chambers Street and enjoy a welcome drink in Bute Room before a tour of the Grand Gallery will take place ending in the Discovery Gallery for some drinks and canapes.

Destination Management Company Panel and Education Event for front line staff and sales teams working with the incentive market. The presentation 'Delivering the Perfect Incentive' will be on Tuesday 30th March at the Scottish Cafe ,National Gallery of Scotland, The Mound, Edinburgh. The evening will start with drinks and a private view of the National Gallery from 17.30 and the presentaton will start at 18.15 finishing by 19.15 with drinks and networking. An important educational session for all staff to learn more about the incentive market and network with colleagues in the industry. Names for attendance to Douglas Campbell, George Hotel E: douglas.campbell@principal-hayley.com £5.00 for SITE members and their colleagues ad £10.00 for non members.
31 attended this event with a mixture of current members and new prospective members. An excellent variety of attendees from General Manager to the Sales Coordinators took advantage of the expert knowledge and experience from our key presenter and President Kenny Hanley.
Our adopted charity HIT will also receive £65.00 from the raffle on the evening and a thanks to the George Hotel and Scottish Cafe Restaurant for their kind donations.

Networking & Social Event hosted by Scotch Whisky Experience.
Welcome drinks served in the Collection followed by presentations from Julie Hunter, The Scotch Whisky Experience, following a £3 million refit of the whole tour experience and to present on the top-end new spaces which have been created to offer unparalleled opportunities for entertaining. From the surroundings of the World's largest Whisky Collection to the McIntyre Gallery, the Amber Restaurant and the Castlehill Room the facilities are second to none.
Our second presentation was from Gillian MacDonald, Stirling Castle - Historic Scotland are currently working on a £12 million project to restore James V's Palace at Stirling Castle. Due to open in Spring 2011, the completed Palace will offer fantastic new opportunities for events in the beautifully recreated King's and Queen's apartments including the chance to mingle with costumed characters from the 16th century Royal Court.

"Airlines and Support Services"
This informal event will be hosted by one of our members, Colpitts World Travel at their offices in Edinburgh. Representatives from Emirates, Lufthansa, BMI, Delta, Alitalia, Air France and KLM will be present to discuss connectivity to Scotland, group fares, new services, ash clouds and much more.
Drinks and canapes were served courtesy of Glasshouse Hospitality at the Colpitts Edinburgh West end office where another successful networking and educational event for SITE Scotland Chapter took place.
Our thanks to BMI, Lufthansa & The Chester Residence who donated raffle prizes on the evening as £103.00 was raised towards our nominated charity.

November Event : Thursday 4th to Saturday 6th

SITE Scotland Show case Annual Event. Visit SITE Global buyer members are invited and hosted by SITE Scotland Chapter. The event shall commence with guests staying at Gleneagles Hotel and then we start off the first evening with a wonderful Scottish Dinner at Glamis Castle.
The following morning we take guests to Stirling Castle for lunch, followed by an Edinburgh city tour and accommodation hosted by The George, The Balmoral and The Sheraton Grand and Spa. Our Friday evening is drinks in The Caves followed by dinner at Ghillie Dhu with live entertainment.
Saturday concludes the arranged programme with a wonderful Champagne Breakfast on the Royal Yacht Britannia.
Guests are invited to arrange pre and post trips in Scotland to view our many members of the Scotland Site Chapter.
